1 Understanding the Basics

Teen Patti (also called "Three Cards" or "Flash") is a popular Indian card game similar to poker. Each player receives 3 cards, and the goal is to have the best hand or to bluff your opponents into folding.

The game uses a standard 52-card deck without jokers. It's played with 3-6 players at a table. Before cards are dealt, all players place an ante (boot amount) in the pot.

2 Hand Rankings (Highest to Lowest)

Learning hand rankings is essential. Here's the hierarchy from best to worst:

3 Playing Blind vs Seen

You can play "blind" (without seeing your cards) or "seen" (after seeing your cards):

• Blind Player: Bets are 1x the current stake. Adds mystery and can intimidate opponents.
• Seen Player: Bets are 2x the current stake. You know exactly what you have.

You can see your cards at any time during the game. Once seen, you must bet double or fold.

4 Betting Actions

During your turn, you can:

• Chaal (Call/Raise): Match or raise the current bet to stay in the game
• Pack (Fold): Give up your hand and lose your bet
• Show: When only 2 players remain, you can request a showdown
• Sideshow: Ask the player before you to compare cards privately

5 Winning the Game

You win the pot by either:

• Having the best hand at showdown
• Being the last player remaining after all others fold

This is why bluffing is so important - you don't always need the best cards to win!
